It's been a good journey. Thank you.

Earlier in the spring I promised myself that if I couldn't guide American Wage Earners into some kind of feasible existence by the end of this summer, I'd rethink working further on it. AWE needs someone (or an organization) with guts, money, time and vast resources to become reality. I've done all I can to seek out those who might help. (Thank you to Robert Reich, Michael Moore, Harold Meyerson and others who supported the idea in the last few years.) I've reached out to anyone I thought might be interested in partnering. I've talked to countless people who thought it was a great idea. But the obstacles to taking AWE further myself are simply insurmountable.

With few resources and no clout to even get a response from the big hoo-hahs who pull all the strings in America's progressive hierarchy, I haven't found organizational partners or funders. Compounding this, there are many groups opposed to the entire concept because they think (wrongly) that it threatens their own silo of work. And, of course, it's a massive undertaking that needs significant seed funding.

I still believe passionately that we need a broad-based worker advocacy association like AWE. If you're reading this and you're someone who has the capacity to build it (or you know someone who does), go for it. Just give me some credit, and I'll be grateful. You can contact me any time.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to check out the concept on this site. I truly appreciate your interest. The need for AWE is growing more and more apparent. Without it, I see dark days ahead for working Americans. But I have to believe someone out there can make it happen. We need to advocate as best we can for the laborers who built this country, and who deserve to share equitably in its prosperity. Peace.
